Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us. This privacy policy explains how Timebox collects and uses data.

Last updated: November 3, 2025

Overview

Timebox is designed with privacy in mind. We collect minimal data, and the data we do collect is used solely to improve the stability and quality of the app.

Data Collection

Timebox collects diagnostics data to help us identify and fix crashes and technical issues. This data is collected through Sentry, a third-party error tracking service.

What We Collect

  • Crash reports: Information about app crashes, including stack traces and device information
  • Error logs: Technical details about errors that occur while using the app
  • Device information: Basic information about your device and operating system version

What We Don't Collect

  • Your tasks, projects, or any content you create in the app
  • Personally identifiable information (PII)
  • Your usage patterns or behavior
  • Screenshots or screen recordings

How We Use Data

The diagnostics data we collect is used exclusively to:

  • Identify and fix bugs and crashes
  • Improve app stability and performance
  • Ensure compatibility with different macOS versions

Data Storage and Security

Diagnostics data is stored securely by Sentry in their European data centers (Germany). Sentry is compliant with GDPR and other privacy regulations. For more information about how Sentry handles data, please see Sentry's Privacy Policy.

Data Linking

As stated in our App Store privacy information, diagnostics data is not linked to you. We configure Sentry with sendDefaultPii = false, which ensures that no personally identifiable information is included in crash reports.

Your Content and Data

Your tasks, projects, and app content belong to you. We do not access, collect, or analyze your personal content. This data:

  • Is stored using Apple's secure infrastructure
  • Is never analyzed, read, or processed by us
  • Is never shared with third parties
  • Can be deleted at any time by uninstalling the app

If you choose to enable iCloud sync, your data is stored in your personal iCloud account and synced across your devices using Apple's CloudKit service. We have no access to this data.

Third-Party Services

Timebox uses the following third-party service:

  • Sentry: Error tracking and crash reporting (diagnostics data only, not linked to users)
